SINTERED STONE DINING TABLE
Redefining Durability, Functionality & Style
Discover Sintered Stone’s myriad of benefits and why they triumph over marble, quartz and granite
NO OTHER MATERIAL MORE DURABLE THAN THIS
What is Sintered Stone?
With the elegance of marble but a toughness that far outweighs any natural stone, the sintered surface combines class and durability into one impressive package.

Au Naturel Done Right!
Many may assume that quartz is an all-natural material, but it is in fact an engineered combination of quartz crystals mixed with polymers and resin. Be rest assured that our sintered surfaces are made from 100% natural materials with no toxic synthetic agents added. They are manufactured using advanced technology that mimics the metamorphic processes in nature, which would normally take place over thousands of years. The sintering process makes the structure of the stone slab really compact so there’s no need to seal the surface with toxic agents. Did you know? Even hospitals are turning to Sintered Stones for many parts of their interiors.

Like A Diamond Made Under Pressure
Built under extreme pressure, sintered stone is recognised as the hardest and most scratch-resistant furniture material in the market. The Mohs mineral scale rates sintered stone’s hardness with a high 7-8, edging out the previously reigning quartz’s score of 6-7.

The Secret Recipe For Durability & Good Health
The sintering process involves the use of intense heat (up to 1200°C!) and high pressure to bond loose grains of natural, raw materials together without the need to liquefy them or use bonding elements like resin. The absence of toxic resin binders (like in the manufacturing of Quartz) ensures workers’ safety in the manufacturing process, as well as consumers’ health during the course of use. The end-product? A non-porous and non-toxic slab of sintered stone with durable physical properties that’s safe for daily use.

BENEFITS OF SINTERED STONE DINING TABLE
Be Impressed By Our Sintered Stone Tables
Combining style, performance and resilience all in one slab, the sintered stone transcends the functionality of all other surfaces. Read on to discover the amazing competence of our sintered stone tables.

STAIN-RESISTANT
No Mess, No Stress
Food spills are inevitable, especially around the dining table. Food spills that leave stubborn stains, such as red wine, turmeric and black coffee, are especially a nightmare – unless you have a sintered stone table! Even the darkest of sauces cannot penetrate the impervious layer of sintered, which means stains are easily wiped off, leaving no discolouration behind.
Your kids love to draw on the tables? Spare them a scolding because inks from markers, ballpoint or gel-based pens can be easily wiped off too!

EASY-TO-CLEAN
Little To No Maintenance Required
While most furniture after-care will recommend the use of gentle cleansers only, sintered stone’s durable layer is so durable that it accepts harsh cleaning agents too (required only for really stubborn stains). For daily cleaning, sintered surfaces require little effort to maintain thanks to its non-porous and stain-resistant exterior – just a wipe down with a damp cloth will do!

SCRATCH-RESISTANT
A Calibre That's Up To Scratch
Scoring high on the Mohs scale, sintered stone’s resistance is undefeatable amongst the surfaces available in the market. Don’t be fooled by its delicate and pretty exterior – this hardy surface withstands physical damages extremely well. Sintered stone is highly resistant to scratches and abrasions, whether it’s done by a coarse plate or a knife.
However, this doesn’t mean you should do your daily slicing and dicing of ingredients directly on the table – it’s still advisable to exercise the appropriate amount of caution to maintain a pristine tabletop.

HYGIENIC
Recipe For A Clean And Healthy Meal
What if we tell you that this toxic-free surface is ideal for food preparation? Featuring an impervious surface with low porosity, sintered stone leaves no gaps for bacteria or germs to fester. As it’s made without chemical or sealant, it does not emit harmful substances too. Eating off the table is safe as well - great for baking, torching or a food tactile play with your kids! Considering the amount of time we spend around the dining table, having a sintered stone table is definitely a safer and healthier option for everyone at home.

HEAT-RESISTANT
Bring The Heat! It'll Take it.
Remember that sintered stones are made under intense pressure and temperature of 1200°C? It is hence safe to say that it handles heat very well. That means you can place scalding hot pots directly on the surface without worrying about burn marks due to melted resins (like the case of quartz). You may now toss those insulation pads away! Even with an open fire, the surface does not catch on fire or produce toxic fumes simply because no toxic resin binders and/or plastics were used in our sintered stone's manufacturing process.

WATERPROOF
No Need To Sweat Over Troubled Waters
Water rings and marks are common issues for wooden tables, but definitely not for sintered stones! Thanks to its low porosity, it is liquid-resistant with an absorption level of zero. Water penetration issues, such as swelling of furniture or appearance of mould and mildew, will never occur – forgo the coasters and place your cold drinks on the table, worry-free!

WHITE MARBLE LOOK IS BEAUTIFUL
I had ordered the armani grey top dining table before which is very elegant, and this time round, I ordered the white marble-look version because the apartment is quite dark. The apartment now looks brighter due to this beautiful white top. The marble-look is very natural.

SATISFIED WITH MY NEW DINING TABLE!
I wanted a white carrara sintered stone dining table top with white legs to match my island with waterfall design, and I found it at Comfort Design. Delivery was on time and went smoothly. Although when I pushed the table up against my island, I noticed the two legs against the island were not perfectly aligned, but it is unnoticeable unless you examine closely. On the whole, I am satisfied with the table and it looks great against my island.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know, all in one place.
Sintered stone is a manmade slab made of 100% natural minerals. It is engineered through the sintering process which involves the use of intense heat of up to 1200°C and high pressure to bond loose grains of minerals together. This process does not require the liquefying or melting of the minerals, or the use of bonding elements like resin – hence it’s healthier and easier maintenance.
Sintered stone tabletops are extremely durable, and we mean it! Unlike granite, quartz and marble, sintered stone requires less maintenance due to its impeccable physical properties. Considered as the hardest surface in the market, it ranks high on the Mohs hardness scale with a score of 7 to 8, edging out the previously reigning quartz’s score of 6 to 7.
If you’re looking for a durable tabletop that will withstand some rough-housing from children and pets, or other heavy duty activities, sintered stone is a good investment that will last longer while still maintaining its stunning appearance.
Building on what’s explained in FAQs 1 & 2 above, sintered stone table top is harder than quartz (measured on the Mohs scale). Moreover, it’s made completely from natural materials and doesn’t contain synthetic agents like resin binders. That is why, with the absence of these resin binders, sintered stone is heat proof – it does not turn colour or deteriorate, nor will it give off harmful gas. Adding on, sintered stone is non-porous so it cannot trap dirt or bacteria, making it safe to even eat directly from it.
While sintered stone has the look of marble, it is not the same as marble. In fact, it performs way better! Thanks to how it was engineered with intense heat and pressure, sintered stone is a solid slab that is resistant to many external elements, like heat, stains, scratches, chemicals – you name it, the impenetrable sintered surface can withstand almost anything!
Marble, on the other hand, is a naturally-occurring stone that is composed of calcite. Calcite is easily dissolved by acidic substances, even household liquids like lemon juice or vinegar may damage it. Considered as a ‘soft’ stone with high porosity, marble requires high maintenance as it is vulnerable to stains, scratches and liquids. Most marble countertops require quality sealant to protect them, and frequent resealing may be needed, especially if you are a heavy-duty user.
Cleaning after meals has never been easier with the sintered stone tables. Thanks to its non-porous surface, sintered stone is waterproof and stain-resistant, which means that it will not get dirty so easily. For daily maintenance, just a wipe down with a damp cloth will do the job, or a little dishwashing liquid works great too. For days when you think it needs a little more TLC, it is alright to use harsh cleaning agents like Cif to thorougly clean it as sintered stones are chemical resistant too. Effortless!
Yes you can! Sintered stone’s amazing physical properties can be brought outside of your home too. Your sintered stone table can withstand the elements of Mother Nature without the wear-and-tears, especially in our hot and humid climate. Not only is it heat- and stain-resistant for ease of cleaning, sintered stone table is also weatherproof and UV-resistant. Our selected range of sintered tables matched with aluminium bases will be perfect for your balconies, patios and gardens.
Read our blog post to find out more on how you can dine outdoors with your sintered stone table.
Sintered stone is completely stain-resistant, even with the darkest of liquids. Additionally, sintered stone is UV-resistant and weatherproof – it will not experience discolouration easily even when you leave it outdoors. Hence the likelihood of discolouring or turning yellow is low.
Our sintered stone tabletops come in 12mm thickness.
We don’t recommend glossy finishes as anything glossy will be more susceptible to scratches, which defeats one of the key benefits of using a sintered stone table.
A wide range of our sintered stone tables are customisable in colour and/or size. Keep a look out for the “customisable” badge under the model names to know which models are eligible, and feel free to drop us an email to find out more regarding your customisation.
Depending on the availability of materials, it ranges from 3 to 8 weeks.
The warranty for the sintered top is 3 years, while its respective table base’s warranty is 1 year.
